Accountability partners – a parent, caregiver, Significant Other, or other trustworthy person or people that can hold the individual (child, Significant Other) accountable for their online behaviors. Receives a weekly or otherwise regular email report that details the individual’s online activity.
Activity reporting – a weekly or otherwise regular report that is sent via email; it logs and details the individual’s online activity and flags inappropriate content. A parent, Significant Other, or accountability partner receives these reports.
Block apps – a feature that can disable certain mobile apps such as Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, etc.
Customer Support – online or telephone support for customers with billing and technical questions.
Customizable – the software contains the ability to individualize its monitoring or reporting.
GPS location tracking – a feature that allows a parent or Significant Other to know the exact location of their child, partner, etc.
Instant notifications – the software includes real-time monitoring of online activity and when a child or Significant Other accesses inappropriate content, a text message or email is sent out to a parent, Significant Other, or accountability partner to alert them in the present moment.
Internet accountability – the individual’s online activity including the websites visited is monitored and some of the data is compiled in an email report that is sent to a parent, Significant Other, or accountability partner.
Internet filtering – a feature that blocks or pans out pornography and otherwise inappropriate content.
Life resources – valuable literature and likewise information provided by the company (oftentimes in the form of a blog) that helps an individual recover from pornography or other kinds of internet-based addiction to live a healthier, more meaningful life.
Refund policy – how the company handles free trials or refunds for dissatisfied customers.
Screen accountability – a feature that monitors and captures screenshots and reports an analysis of it to a parent, Significant Other, or accountability partner.
Screen time management – a feature that allows a parent or otherwise administrator to set limits on screen time.
Search engine reporting – a feature that reports search engine terms used by the individual.
Secure encryption – the software uses HTTPS encryption, which scrambles the data via algorithms, so outside users are unable to inadvertently hack your private data.
Social media app monitoring – a feature that monitors user-created content on apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.
Uninstall/tampering alerts – a feature that instantly notifies a parent, Significant Other, or accountability partner that someone is attempting to circumvent or disable the protection offered by the accountability software.
